Pasajul Scarilor

Posted by Jackie on October 24, 2008

This lovely little spot in the lower part of the historic town centre is called Pasajul Scarilor – “the Passage of Stairs”. Looking at this picture the name probably doesn’t make much sense – but in the old days, the right hand half of the cobbled street was actually a set of very very gentle cobbled steps (only a few inches high each). I loved the stone archways.

    Absolutely stunning. Breathtaking.

Very charming indeed. Stone and brick age so well, especially when scrubbed clean regularly.
